Paul played on the ‘Stop It’ EP and recorded a version of ‘Good Personality’. But only his bass drum and snare drum was used and the song was recorded again with new drummer, Steve Parry. Steve’s tom toms and cymbals were added when the two versions of the song was mixed together.

Live at the Vortex Volume One – Various Artists [ALBUM]

Recorded live At The Vortex on October 10th / 11th 1977

Side One, Track Three
Small Lives – Neo

Side Two, Track Three
Tell Me The Truth – Neo

Both tracks written by Ian North

Ian North – Vocals, Bass
Robin Simon – Guitar
Paul Simon – Drums

Ian North (Neo):
We were doubled booked the night of the recording – we tried to back out but they wouldn’t let us. So we played at the Vortex early before the club opened and the record company dubbed in crowd noises later. It was recorded live but I do remember going into the studio and re-recording a vocal track.
The record supposedly sold 50,000 copies but we never saw a single penny.
